Paris, December 1897 – A captivating scene unfolds in the effervescent fabric of the bustling artistic world of the Belle Époque. Edmond Rostand, barely thirty years old but already the father of two children, finds himself facing a formidable challenge: a pen that has been desperately silent for two years. It is with palpable anxiety that he makes a bold decision: to offer the great Constant Coquelin, a theatrical icon of his time, a new play, a heroic comedy in verse, for the festivities to come. One detail, however, gives rise to concern: this piece, brilliant in idea, does not yet exist on paper...

The author and director, honored with five precious Molières, tells us with passion behind the scenes of the triumphant and legendary premiere of "Cyrano de Bergerac". This play, having crossed the threshold of its thousandth performance, was crowned five times during the 2017 Molières edition. The work, acclaimed and celebrated, was subsequently adapted into a comic strip in 2018, then brought to the screen in early 2019, thus perpetuating its artistic sustainability through different forms of expression. A vibrant chapter in the history of theater that continues to resonate through time.

The play was praised for its liveliness, its humor, and its homage to the world of theater.
